Chess Power Online Sarapu Cup

Chess Power is excited to present the Online Sarapu Cup, a Chess Tournament designed for kids aged 4 to 18. Held on the last Sunday of each month from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM, participants can compete in different divisions like Pawns, Knights, and Kings, with a time control of 15 minutes per player per game. The tournament consists of five 7-round Swiss tournaments.

For those new to Chess, the Pawns Division is the perfect starting point, while the Knights Division caters to players gaining confidence. The Kings Division is the most challenging, reserved for top players in Auckland with a Chess Power Rating exceeding 1000 points.

To join the tournament, registration is required, with a fee of $32 for early birds or $37 for late entries. All players must have a camera connected to Zoom for monitoring purposes during the event.

Prizes like Puzzle and Challenge awards, including recognition for the Biggest Upset and the Biggest Gainer™, will be up for grabs. Fair play is essential, as the use of chess engines is prohibited, and games will be rated using the Chess Power ratings system.
