Chesham Grammar School (CGS) Table Tennis Centre

Sports field. The table tennis centre is located next to the school gymnasium. Upon entering the venue, you will be greeted by our friendly staff and directed to the table tennis area.

The CGS Table Tennis Centre aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all ages and abilities. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basics or a seasoned player seeking to improve your skills, our weekly sessions offer a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and receive guidance from our professional coaches.

Sessions are held every Monday, except during school holidays, and are open to students from Year 7 to Year 13. Led by our Table Tennis England qualified coaches Jon and Mariusz, these sessions are limited to 18 students per session across our 9 tables. Due to their popularity, there may be a waiting list in operation, so we encourage interested individuals to complete the registration form on our website.

In addition to the Monday sessions, we also host a drop-in session every Friday evening. This casual session is open to all ages and abilities, making it the perfect opportunity for families to come together, meet new friends, and enjoy a fun game of table tennis.

To cover the costs of the venue, we charge a minimal fee of 5 per session. It is important to note that you do not have to attend CGS or have a child enrolled at CGS to join our club. However, participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The CGS Table Tennis Centre has achieved remarkable success in recent competitions and tournaments. Examples of our achievements include entering two teams in the Heathrow Junior League, winning various team and singles events in the Buckinghamshire Schools TT Tournament, and achieving runner-up positions in regional and local competitions.

At the centre, equipment is provided for use during the sessions. However, if you prefer to bring your own bat, you are more than welcome to do so.

For convenient access, parking is available in the main school car park. To enter the centre, please use the blue gates located at the rear of the school, next to the sports field.
