The London School of Sailing, a vibrant sailing community based in London, United Kingdom, is thrilled to announce its participation in the upcoming Cherbourg Race organized by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) & JOG. This exciting amateur sport event is scheduled to take place from the 6th to the 8th of September 2024.
For all the sailing enthusiasts out there, this is an excellent opportunity to test your skills on the open waters as participants race across a course of approximately 150 nm, doubling the sea miles as they make their way back across the channel. The event will kick off on Friday evening with a social gathering before heading straight to Cherbourg for the main event. After a night of cruising back, participants can expect to return to the Solent by Sunday morning or early afternoon.
