Welcome to Chapelton Equestrian Centre, a reputable riding school and livery yard located in Muir of Ord, Ross-Shire, in the Highlands of Scotland. Situated just off the A862 between Beauly and Dingwall, our centre is easily accessible and conveniently located, only 12 miles from Inverness.

Chapelton Equestrian Centre is a licenced and British Horse Society (BHS) approved riding school, ensuring that we adhere to the highest standards in safety and horse care. We have full Public Liability insurance and comply with the latest Health and Safety guidelines. The health and well-being of our horses is our top priority, and they are all kept in good condition and declared fit for purpose. Our instructors provide correct and high-quality instruction, and all tack is well-maintained and properly fitted.

Our facilities are in excellent and safe condition, with regular inspections to ensure that we maintain the highest standards. All of our staff are trained in First Aid, and our instructors are qualified to teach. We also have expertise in Child Protection issues, ensuring a safe environment for all riders. At Chapelton Equestrian Centre, we are committed to offering the very best to all our livery clients and creating an environment for riders of all levels to enjoy their horses and training.

We offer a variety of events, lessons, and courses. Our events include BHS First Aid Courses, with both refresher and initial courses available. Stabling is also available for the Black Isle Show, conveniently located only 2 minutes from the show ground.

When it comes to lessons and courses, Chapelton Equestrian Centre caters to riders of all abilities. We offer tuition for beginners up to advanced riders, from the age of four and upwards. We also welcome disabled riders. Riding hats and boots are provided free of charge, although you are welcome to wear your own hat as long as it meets current British Safety Standards.

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations, or the full fee will be payable.

Private lessons in Show jumping and Dressage are available, as well as group lessons for 2–4 people. We offer discounts for block bookings of lessons, and training for BHS exams is also available. Lunge lessons are offered for individuals looking to develop their “feel” and balance, allowing the horse to work independently. Our Saddle Club is catered towards younger children (starting at 4 years old), offering tutored riding and stable management lessons.

We also host Pony Birthday Parties, providing a fun-filled experience with riding and other horse-related activities.
