From 3 months old to 100 years old, CG Swim School welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities. Regardless of previous experience or level of confidence, each swimmer is given individual attention and lessons are tailored to meet their specific needs. The school maintains a strict ratio of no more than 4 babies, 3 children, or 2 adults per lesson to ensure maximum progress for each swimmer.
The lessons at CG Swim School take place in the beautiful location of Little Thetford, offering a pool kept at a warm temperature of 32 degrees Celsius. Clean facilities and a commitment to cleanliness contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for swimmers to enjoy their experience.
CG Swim School ensures the safety and well-being of all swimmers. They follow the necessary guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe swimming environment in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
CG Swim School offers a range of classes to cater to different age groups and skill levels. They provide adult and baby sessions for children aged 3 months to 3 years, children's lessons for ages 3 to 11 years, and adult lessons for ages 16 and above. These half-hour sessions run for 6 weeks during term-time. Additionally, the school offers crash courses during half-term holidays, which are intensive 4-day courses suitable for any age.
In the children's lessons, CG Swim School follows the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) as outlined by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) Learn to Swim Awards. These awards consist of seven stages that allow swimmers to progress through the national syllabus of learning to swim for primary school-aged children. Each stage has a set of clear outcomes that need to be completed to earn the respective award. Swimmers receive certificates upon achieving these milestones, providing them with a sense of accomplishment.
CG Swim School conducts its lessons in the state-of-the-art Little Thetford Pool. The pool features a glass enclosure that surrounds it, allowing for a pleasant swimming experience. The pool area and changing rooms are equipped with heated flooring to ensure comfort. Additionally, free parking is available for the convenience of swimmers and their families.
The dedicated team at CG Swim School comprises several experienced professionals who are passionate about teaching swimming. Calum, the founder and head coach, leads the team, while Christine serves as co-owner and company secretary. Clair, Bethan, Nick, Jon, Beth, Vanessa, Josh, and Donna contribute their expertise as swim teachers, administrators, and pool attendants.
