The Centrum Table Tennis Club in Mississauga, also known as CTTC, was founded in 1995 by Ireneusz Kasperowicz and Andrzej Walczak at the Polish Cultural Centre. As a non-profit organization, the club is committed to promoting and developing the sport of table tennis in the local community. With a focus on organized events and regular training sessions, players in the area have the opportunity to improve their skills and participate in a range of competitions.
Over the years, CTTC has hosted numerous successful events, including the Closed Polish Table Tennis Championship, which has been held annually for 25 years. The club is actively involved in the West Mississauga League and the Ontario West Table Tennis Association across multiple divisions, showcasing the talent and dedication of its members.
CTTC recently held a Youth Open House on January 28, 2024, attracting over ten kids to participate in table tennis school sessions every Wednesday from 5-7 pm. Additionally, the club is gearing up for the 27th Annual Polish Closed Table Tennis Tournament for the Credit Union Cup on April 28, 2024, welcoming players of all levels to compete in various categories.
While the club has strong ties to the Polish community, CTTC welcomes players from all backgrounds to join and become club members. Governed by a club board and owned by its members, CTTC aims to create a welcoming and competitive environment where players can enjoy the sport of table tennis. The facilities at the Polish Cultural Centre include two cafés and a bowling room, offering a convenient and comfortable setting for members to practice and play.
