Centres-Ski-Fond

Located in the stunning natural setting of Mont-Blair Park, Centres-Ski-Fond in Qubec City offers 63 km of groomed and patrolled cross-country ski trails. The site also features trails for snowshoeing and hiking, allowing visitors to explore the hidden gem of Mont Blair with its 485-meter altitude, one of the highest in the region. Access to the cross-country ski trails at Centres-Ski-Fond is free of charge, courtesy of the City of Qubec. For those in need of equipment, ski rentals are available on-site. It is recommended to arrive at least an hour before closing to secure your gear. Reservations for children's ski sleds must be made 48 hours in advance.

During select Saturdays from January 13 to February 24, 2024, torch-lit night skiing events are held from 6pm to 8:30pm, weather permitting. Only trail #2 is open for these evening activities, and equipment rentals are available. Contrary to the daytime trails, difficult and very difficult cross-country ski trails are not groomed on the slopes to allow for snowploughing. Signage indicating “Steep Slope” warns skiers before descent.

In addition to skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking trails, Centres-Ski-Fond also offers equipment rentals for children's sleds. Weather conditions may affect the availability of the outdoor sports facilities, so it's recommended to cheque the weather forecast and contact customer service before visiting. Skiing is not permitted before the designated 9am opening time for safety reasons.
