Hey Sports Community,
Just wanted to share a quick note from Dr. Kasim Al-Mashat, the brains behind the Centre for Mindfulness Canada in North Vancouver. Dr. Kasim, a Registered Psychologist with a flair for public speaking, meditation, and yoga, kickstarted the centre back in 2015. Since then, it’s been a hub for top-notch wellness, grounded in solid research and hands-on training in mindfulness. It’s also a part of the Global Mindfulness Collaborative and has the Canadian Psychological Association's stamp of approval for continuing education.
The Centre runs all sorts of cool programs and training sessions like Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Laughter Yoga, plus some chill online retreats. They’re all about sparking positive change and promoting a mindful way of life. You can even drop into one of their free online info sessions to get a taste of what mindfulness is all about.
Dr. Kasim himself is a bit of a mindfulness celebrity, often popping up in the media chatting about how mindfulness can transform pain, happiness, and overall satisfaction. The centre also gets pretty involved in Psychology Month, offering free sessions to the community.
Folks who’ve joined in at the Centre for Mindfulness Canada often rave about how life-changing mindfulness can be. It’s all about staying present and tackling stress and anxiety head-on. With mindfulness meditation, you can quiet the mind, live in the now, and boost your mental well-being.
Dr. Kasim and the team are all about quality mindfulness education and training. They’re a solid go-to for anyone looking to up their mental health game. So if you're keen on finding some peace and balance, check out what the centre has to offer.
Stay mindful,
