Central District Netball Club

Central District Netball Club (CDNC) is a sports club located in Adelaide that specialises in netball. The club is a part of the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division and prides itself on providing opportunities for aspiring netballers to play at the highest level. CDNC is dedicated to uniting the northern community in partnership with Central District Football Club SANFL Inc and is proud to represent the Northern Adelaide District.

The club has a rich history, with its roots dating back to 1998 when Harlequin Netball Club participated in the elite South Australian Netball landscape. Over the years, the club has submitted teams into the State League Netball competition and the underpinning Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division. In 2016, the club underwent a major rebrand and emerged as Central District Netball Club, forging a strong alliance with Central District Football Club.

CDNC's primary aim is to represent their district with pride. The club strives to portray the Central District and the wider community in the best possible light, emphasising professionalism and respect. They wear their colours with pride and create an inclusive environment built on respect, honour, and passion for netball.

Achieving overall success is another key goal for CDNC. The club refuses to settle for mediocrity and always strives to give 100% in everything they do. They approach every game as if it were their last and seize every opportunity they are given. CDNC believes in continuous innovation and investment in their junior programme, recognising that the youth are the future of the club.

CDNC is also committed to partnering with their community. They aim to support their members by providing a cost-effective pathway to elite netball. The club engages with the community and actively contributes whenever possible. They offer partnership opportunities to local businesses and work collaboratively with strategic partners and sponsors to benefit their district.

Prior to 2017, CDNC operated under the name Harlequin Netball Club. The club's strategic alliance with Central District Football Club, established in 1998, provided opportunities to encourage netball participation in the northern region. However, there was a need for a clearer distinction between the two clubs. This led to a restructure in 2014, and the formation of Central District Netball Club, aligning with the long-term goal of creating one Central District sporting brand.

The partnership with Central District Football Club not only provides additional opportunities but also strengthens the bond between the clubs.
