Located in Erina on the Central Coast of NSW, Central Coast Mixed Martial Arts is a gym dedicated to training individuals in the art of mixed martial arts and boxing. Led by MMA veteran and current professional boxer, Ross Pearson, this gym offers a unique training experience for individuals of all skill levels.
Ross Pearson, originally from Sunderland, England, has over 20 years of experience in boxing and MMA. He began his training in Taekwondo and Judo at a young age, and at 13 years old, he took up boxing. At 16, Ross shifted his focus to becoming a professional mixed martial artist. Starting his career at the age of 17, Ross fought on the UK scene and went on to win numerous British and European titles.
In 2009, Ross was selected to participate in a season of The Ultimate Fighter TV programme, representing the UK. After winning the show, he entered the world stage and made his debut in the UFC. With 26 fights under his belt, Ross has received 4 Performance of the Night awards and has coached another season of The Ultimate Fighter, known as “the Smashes.
Ross has now opened Central Coast Mixed Martial Arts to contribute to the development of martial arts talent in the area. The gym offers a range of training options, including personal training sessions and group classes. Whether individuals are looking to improve their skills or start from scratch, the gym caters to all levels of experience.
The studio itself is fully equipped with a large matted and caged area for MMA training, as well as bags and a floor boxing ring. Additionally, Central Coast Barbell, a strength, and conditioning facility, is integrated into the gym, offering specialised training to enhance overall performance.
Located at 5/13 Bonnal Rd, Erina, the gym is open Monday to Friday, with hours displayed on the timetable. On Saturdays, it operates with a timetable as well, while Sundays remain closed.
