As part of the Centennial celebrations, the pool was funded by the federal government and continues to be operated with support from local tax dollars and user fees. The outdoor pool operates from June to August each year, offering a range of programs and activities for all ages.

The Centennial Pool provides Red Cross swimming lessons, lifeguard training, First Aid courses, leadership development programs, private rentals, school classes, and public and lap swims.
