Centenary Celebrations

Mitcham Golf Club is gearing up for an exciting celebration as it marks its Centenary on May 25th and 26th, 2024. The festivities will kick off with an Afternoon Tea gathering at the club, featuring local dignitaries and the launch of a special commemorative book.

On Sunday, May 26th, golfers can look forward to participating in the Centenary Prize Golf Competition, followed by a BBQ. The day will also include a thrilling Trick Shot golfer performance for everyone to enjoy.

As part of the Centenary celebrations, Mitcham Golf Club has lined up a series of events and matches throughout the year. Highlights include the Hickory Event on June 7th, offering a Texas Scramble format for teams of four with hire clubs available.

On June 14th and June 15th, the club will host the Surrey County Scratch Match, attracting top golfers from the region. The excitement continues on July 6th with the Centenary Club Championship and Handicap Salver, and July 20th with the Ladies Centenary Friendly Match.

Save the date for the Centenary Seniors Open on August 15th and the Centenary Cup on September 15th, which will bring together six Centenary Clubs, including Chestfield in 2024 and MGC in 2025.

If you're up for a challenge, don't miss the Centenary Texas Scramble on October 13th, where you can test your skills against the Pro's team featuring Mark, Brendan, John S, and Lorraine. The grand finale of the Centenary celebrations will be the Dinner & Dance event on November 16th at the Epsom Race Course Queens Stand.
