Located in Catterick Garrison, near Richmond, North Yorkshire, the Catterick Garrison Saddle Club is a Livery and Riding Centre that serves local military personnel and their dependents. Lacie Hawkes is the Yard Manager, who took over in March 2012, bringing a wealth of experience to the role after working at the Saddle Club for over 5 years. Lacie is committed to developing the service the Club offers to the Garrison, both military and civilian, and believes in the importance of providing riding for the whole community. Understanding the significance of the Club as a welfare facility for military families in the North East, Lacie is dedicated to upholding the values and ethos of the Saddle Club.
The Club's Yard Staff and Instructors consist of Tracy Mann, an instructor, Rachel Lanaway, the Head Groom, and Becky Wylde, who serves as both an Instructor and Yard Groom.
In terms of events and results, the Saddle Club organises regular activities and events for both members and non-members. These events are inclusive and cater to all ages and abilities. Some upcoming events include Own a Pony Day on May 29th and May 31st, a Fun Dressage event on June 11th, and a Fun Show Jumping event on June 25th.
In addition, the club also offers summer camps from August 2nd to August 4th and from August 30th to September 1st. These camps are suitable for riders off the lead-rein who are 7 years old and above.
