Cartwright Fields, a well-maintained community park and sports complex in Nestleton Station, is operated by the volunteer-run, non-profit organization, Cartwright Sports & Recreation, in partnership with the Township of Scugog. This park features amenities like two ball diamonds, soccer fields, a volleyball court, walking trails, a playground, and a disk golf course. The Nestleton Community Centre, located within the complex, is also available for event rentals.
Lately, Cartwright Fields has seen the completion of a significant improvement: the installation of new lights on the top diamond. This Lighting Project aims to enhance safety during evening games and was made possible through a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, contributions from the Township of Scugog, and the local community's support through fundraisers.
Throughout the year, Cartwright Sports & Recreation organizes various events and fundraisers to help maintain and upgrade the facilities at Cartwright Fields. The community is encouraged to participate in these activities to support the ongoing development of the park.
For sports enthusiasts, Cartwright Fields offers numerous leagues and clubs for both children and adults. Whether one is interested in baseball, soccer, or other sports, there are plenty of opportunities to join a team and engage in friendly competition at the park.
The park offers something for everyone in the Nestleton Station community, whether it's enjoying a leisurely walk along the trails, playing a game of softball, or hosting an event at the community centre.
