Carshalton Football Club, located in Wallington, is a renowned football club that boasts a rich history and a strong presence in the New Zealand football community. With a vibrant and passionate fan base, the club has established itself as a force to be reckoned with both on and off the pitch.

Charlie Sinclair, who served as Chairman for five successful years, recently announced his departure from the club to pursue a quieter pace of life on the south coast. During his tenure, the club achieved significant milestones, including winning championships, promotions, and various cup titles. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic and ever-changing weather conditions, Charlie leaves behind a club that is in a solid financial position, displaying an excellent social scene, a fantastic atmosphere, and a trophy cabinet filled with pride.

To express their gratitude and bid farewell to Charlie, the committee presented him with a framed centenary shirt, symbolising the club's appreciation for his unwavering dedication and commitment. Although Charlie will be missed, the club hopes to see him participate in numerous social events throughout the year, albeit now as a cherished patron rather than Chairman. His contributions and presence will always be warmly welcomed.

Carshalton Football Club takes pride in offering its members and supporters an exciting and thrilling live sport experience. The club recently announced that it will be showing more than 25 live World Cup matches, complemented by a full suite of SAL Saturday fixtures and the highly anticipated Fury v Chisora fight. With a welcoming atmosphere and state-of-the-art facilities, the Swans' Nest, the club's home ground, provides an unparalleled viewing experience.

The club also mourns the loss of former member Geoff Williams, who played a significant role in the club from 1955 to 1973. Except a two-year break for National Service, Geoff's commitment to the club was unwavering. He captained the 6th XI for six seasons and, despite some mixed results, his leadership was instrumental in maintaining a consistently good social record. Carshalton Football Club extends its deepest condolences to Geoff's family and friends during this difficult time.

Carshalton Football Club is excited to announce pre-season training for the upcoming 2022/2023 season. Led by 1st XI Skipper and UEFA B qualified coach Jacques Michelle and Jack Anderson, the training sessions will take place in Beddington Park by the Pavilion Caf, a familiar location for returning members. Goalkeeper specific sessions will be arranged based on attendance. The club welcomes new and prospective members to join the training sessions by simply showing up and introducing themselves.

The club also mourns the passing of Rod Woolvin, who had been an integral part of Saturday afternoons at Carshalton Football Club for decades. Originally joining the club in the 60s, Rod's presence and dedication have left an indelible mark on the club and its community. His contributions will be cherished and remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
