Caroline Butler School of Dance is a renowned dance school located in Worcester Park, Surrey. Founded in 2011, the school was established by Miss Caroline with the aim of sharing her passion and expertise in dance with the young people in the community. Since then, it has become a thriving dance community, providing high-quality ballet, tap, and modern dance classes to children aged 3 and above.
At Caroline Butler School of Dance, the teachers are dedicated to empowering young dancers and helping them reach their fullest potential in both technical and artistic aspects of dance. Through weekly classes, bi-annual school shows, competitions, examinations, theatre trips, and a tailored programme for seniors, the school ensures that students have ample opportunities to grow and showcase their talent.
The school offers a diverse range of classes to cater to different age groups and skill levels. For children aged 3 years and above, there are joyful and creative pre-school ballet classes, providing a delightful introduction to the world of ballet. The school also follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabi for classical ballet classes, which are open to boys and girls. These classes include Pre-Primary and Primary in Dance (for Reception to Year 2), Grades 1-3 Ballet (for Years 3-7), and Grades 4-6 Ballet (for Years 8-11).
The school also offers vocational graded ballet classes, including pointe work classes, for students who show great dedication and talent in classical ballet.
In addition to ballet, Caroline Butler School of Dance offers Tap and Modern dance classes following the syllabi of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). Currently, the school offers Grade 1 and Grade 2 Tap and Modern classes for Years 3-6, with plans to introduce Primary Tap and Modern classes in the near future. The school also provides Floor Barre and Stretch classes for juniors (7-11 years) and seniors (12–16 years) to enhance their floor work, strength, and flexibility.
Caroline Butler School of Dance has two venues where classes are held. The Hamptons is one of the venues, offering classes on Tuesdays for preschool ballet, R. A. D ballet, and soon-to-be-introduced Primary Tap and Modern.
The other venue, XCSP, hosts classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This venue is where students can participate in R. A. D ballet, vocational graded ballet, I.
