Carlton Boxing Academy, formerly known as Carlton Police Boxing Academy, was established on January 26, 2017. It was created through a partnership between Carlton Bolling College and Bradford Police ABC, which happens to be the oldest amateur boxing club in Bradford's history. Although the name has changed, the academy's mission remains the same – to inspire young individuals to recognise and achieve their full potential.
The academy aims to promote the benefits of healthy living, educational excellence, and positive citizenship within the diverse community of Bradford. Their approach involves encouraging young people to have fun as they develop confidence, improve self-esteem, enhance fitness, and exercise self-discipline.
