Our classes cater to different age groups, including 4–6 years, 7–13 years, and 14+ years. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced martial artist, our experienced instructors will guide you through the training sessions and help you achieve your goals. Our Instructors Carlisle Taekwon-do School is led by Fraser Cruickshank, a former World Taekwondo champion with over 20 years of experience in martial arts. He holds a 6th Dan black belt and has handpicked a team of fully qualified and dedicated instructors.
Our instructors are passionate about teaching Taekwondo and are committed to providing a safe and supportive training environment for all students. Facilities Our training studio is equipped with specialist martial arts floor matting certified by the World Martial Arts Federation. It is fully air-conditioned and features safety mirrors for technique correction, kick bags, kick shields, and hand pads for power development, wall bars for dynamic stretching, and stretching machines for aided workouts. We also have pull-up bars and various weight training equipment available for use during classes.
To help you track and improve your progress, we have Myzone live display monitors that show your effort level during workouts. Additionally, we offer a Myzone remote system with over 200 remote live classes per week, allowing you to workout from anywhere. As a member, you will have access to dedicated changing rooms, showering facilities, lockers for storage, chilled water fountains, and hot and cold drinks machines. Safety Carlisle Taekwon-do School prioritises the safety of our students.
Our training environment is relaxed, friendly, and safe. As a beginner, you will not be placed under pressure, and the pace of training will gradually increase as you progress and gain confidence. Our instructors are HSE First Aid qualified and DBS (police) checked, ensuring that you are in safe hands throughout your training. Associations and Seminars Carlisle Taekwon-do School is a part of the Taekwondo Schools UK group and a member of the Association of Professional Taekwondo Instructors (APTI) and the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF).
Through our links in the Taekwondo community, we offer a variety of seminars and training camps, both within our group and from other organisations nationally and internationally.
