Carlisle Sub Aqua Club (CSAC) is the oldest and most experienced Sub Aqua Club in Carlisle, North Cumbria, and the South of Scotland. Established in 1964, they have been training scuba divers for over 50 years. With a diverse and friendly atmosphere, CSAC welcomes individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels.
CSAC offers a range of scuba diving opportunities, from beginner training to experienced divers looking to explore new dive sites. They conduct dives all over the UK, from Cornwall to the Shetlands, and have organised exciting trips abroad to destinations such as the Red Sea, Spain, Malaysia, Malta, and the Philippines.
The club meets every Monday night at Currock House, with a gathering between 7:00 and 7:45 pm, followed by a pool session at Trinity School Pool from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. This provides an opportunity for members to connect, plan trips, and share their passion for scuba diving.
For those new to scuba diving, CSAC provides high-quality training for beginners aged 14 and above. Whether you're interested in pursuing a PADI, SSI, or any other agency certification, joining CSAC is an excellent way to develop your skills and enjoy the thrill of diving. They have experienced BSAC-qualified instructors to guide you through the learning process.
If you've always wanted to try scuba diving or are curious about the sport, CSAC offers a Try Dive experience. Under the guidance of a BSAC Instructor, you will learn basic diving techniques and equipment in a safe pool environment. The session lasts approximately 45 minutes and costs 20, with all scuba equipment provided.
