Carleton Swim is located on the Carleton University campus in Ottawa, offering a range of swim programs and activities for students, staff, faculty, and the community. The pool is open for public drop-in swims, with various options available for fitness and recreational use. Fitness swims include lane swimming and water-running, while recreational swims offer a range of activities such as leisure lanes, basketball nets, and diving boards.
During winter, Carleton Swim operates on a set schedule with morning, midday, afternoon, evening, and weekend swims available. Special holiday swims are also offered on Family Day and Easter Monday. Public swim fees are affordable, with discounts for children, adults, and households/families.
The facility also offers Women's Only swims twice a week, providing a comfortable and private space for women and their young children. During these times, the men's and family change-rooms are locked, and only female pool staff are present to supervise. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and direct supervision is required throughout the facility.
Please note that the pool may be closed for maintenance or special events, so it is recommended to cheque the schedule regularly for updates. The friendly and knowledgeable pool staff are available to assist swimmers and ensure a positive experience for everyone.
