The top floor of the gym is dedicated to Strength and Conditioning provision, providing athletes with a space to maximise their sporting potential. It features top-of-the-line equipment, including 6 full racks, 2 half racks, a Monster rig, 2 skill mills, 4 watt bikes, 2 assault bikes, ski urg, dumbbell racks up to 60 kg, and a new sound system. Whether you are a professional athlete or a fitness enthusiast looking to take your training to the next level, Cardiff University Fitness and Conditioning Centre has everything you require.
The fitness suite on the lower floors houses a wide range of resistance-based equipment and recently upgraded cardiovascular machines. These machines are equipped with audiovisual capabilities and internet connectivity, allowing users to enjoy their workout while staying connected. Whether you prefer to lift weights or do cardio exercises, the fitness suite provides a diverse range of equipment to cater to your fitness goals.
The Fitness and Conditioning Centre also offers facility hire for those who prefer to use the gym on a one-time basis. Membership schemes are available, offering great value and unlimited access to all fitness suites, including the newly refurbished Fitness and Conditioning Centre.
Gym bookings can be easily made through the Sport app up to 14 days in advance. It's important to note that the use of University sports facilities is subject to terms and conditions.
The Fitness and Conditioning Centre is conveniently located on Senghennydd Road in Cardiff, with ample parking available nearby. The facility is open Monday to Friday from 06:45 to 22:00 during the academic year, and on weekends from 08:00 to 16:00. Please note that the facility is closed on Bank Holidays.
