One of the standout events organised by Cardiff and District Little Athletics Club is the Cardiff Challenge, taking place on Saturday, 17th February 2024, at Neegulbah Park. The event welcomes participants to compete in a variety of events within their respective age groups. Participants have the freedom to choose as many or as few events as they wish, with awards presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category. Additionally, a feature event will be drawn on the day, and both male and female winners in this event will be awarded a trophy.

Throughout February and early March, athletes will have the opportunity to participate in various regional and state-level championships, including the Hunter Regional Championships (Fri 2 – Sun 4 Feb), State Combined Carnival (Sat 2 – Sun 3 Mar), and State Track and Field Championships (Fri 22 – Sun 24 Mar).
