Canute Badminton Club

Dedicated to nurturing young talents and providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in badminton. Our qualified coach leads the junior sessions every Monday evening from 7-8 pm (excluding Christmas, Easter, and Summer Holidays), offering a mixture of coaching and games to ensure that every session is both enjoyable and productive.

Our junior section is open to children between the ages of 8 and 18, regardless of their abilities. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all juniors can thrive and develop their passion for badminton. Many of our juniors have successfully transitioned into the senior section of the club, participating in local leagues and various tournaments.

At Canute Badminton Club, we play with feather shuttles on three courts at Egerton Youth Club in Knutsford, Cheshire. Our club nights take place on Mondays from 8-10 pm, providing an opportunity for both members and guests to enjoy competitive games. Guests are welcome to join us throughout the year.

We are affiliated with Badminton England and currently have several teams in the Crewe and District league. Our men's teams compete in Divisions 1, 3, and 4, while our mixed team plays in Division 1. We also have a joint venture ladies team with our neighbouring club Goostrey, also competing in Division 1. Additionally, we have a mixed team in Division 1 of the Stockport league.

It's worth noting that our men's teams in the Crewe League can include female players.

Apart from the competitive aspect, we value the social aspect of our club. We have regular social events throughout the season, including meals out, games nights, and presentation dinners. At Canute Badminton Club, we strive to create a friendly and enjoyable environment where members can not only improve their skills but also form meaningful friendships.
