Cantelowes Skatepark, located in Camden, London, is widely recognised as one of the biggest and best outdoor bowls in the UK. It underwent an extensive renovation in 2007 by Wheelscape, resulting in an impressive concrete skatepark that caters to both beginners and more experienced skaters.
The skatepark is split into two main sections. The first is a large, quirky-shaped bowl with three main sections at depths of 5, 6. 5, and 8 feet. The bowl includes various features such as hips, roll-ins, a love seat, a 9-foot inversion, a vert extension, and a banked extension.
Skaters can enjoy a thrilling ride as they navigate through the different sections of the bowl.
Adjacent to the bowl is an L-shaped street section, which features flat banks, a large banked hip, a small driveway with a euro gap, a grind block, and a steep bank that is ideal for grinds and slides. While the street section may not be extraordinary, the bowl alone is enough to draw skaters to Cantelowes for an enjoyable session.
Cantelowes Skatepark is located at Cantelowes Gardens, Camden Road, London NW1 9BY. It is easily accessible by public transportation, with Camden Town train station and Camden Road train station both within walking distance. For those arriving by bus, the Sandall Road bus stop is conveniently located nearby.
Although there are no on-site toilets at the skatepark, there are free-to-use toilets available in the vicinity. Cantelowes was built by Wheelscape, a renowned supplier that specialises in designing and constructing skateparks.
