Calling all parents looking to get their kids into ice skating! Sandy Shores Skating Club in Parksville is excited to announce the start of the Canskate Spring program at the Oceanside Arena Victor Kraatz Ice Rink. This program, recognized by Skate Canada, is the perfect opportunity for kids to develop their skating skills in a fun and supportive setting.
The Canskate Spring program runs every Tuesday afternoon from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM, giving kids the chance to learn from certified coaches and Program Assistants. Whether they're interested in figure skating, hockey, or just want to have some fun on the ice, this program focuses on improving agility, balance, and control.
All participants are required to wear CSA approved helmets for safety, and kids must be at least 5 years old by December 31, 2024, to join in on the fun. Registration opens on February 26, 2024, and closes on June 19, 2024, so be sure to sign up soon to secure your spot.
