The Cannon Hill Swimming Club is dedicated to promoting the enjoyment of swimming and fostering the development of healthy and active children. Based in the suburb of Cannon Hill in Brisbane, Australia, the club welcomes children of all ages and swimming abilities to participate in their weekly Friday Club meets.

The club prides itself on creating a friendly and supportive community where families come together to celebrate self-improvement and foster a carnival-like atmosphere. It is a place where children can thrive and develop confidence in their swimming abilities, while also having fun and making lasting friendships.

The roots of the Cannon Hill Swim Club trace back to 1961 when Roy and Judy Holland opened a 20-metre training pool at their home on Keats Street. In 1962, Father Kelly of the St Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church opened the 25-metre Stanton Street pool, which became the home of the swim club, the summer training squad, and the venue for carnival meets.

Roy Holland, the club's founder, established the Cannon Hill Dolphins swim training squad from their Keats Street home in the same year. The squad later evolved into the Cannon Hill Amateur Swimming Club in 1973 and was officially formed in 1974. Roy, who was also the father of distance swimmer Stephan Holland, played a pivotal role in teaching thousands of children in the Brisbane region how to swim. In 1993, Roy retired and handed over the club's leadership to his daughter Cathy.

The Holland family's swim school, known as Hollands Swim School, still operates from the Keats Street home and continues to serve the community.

Over the years, the Cannon Hill Swim Club has undergone significant developments, including the renovation of the pool and deck, the introduction of electronic timing, and the addition of a BBQ area. These updates have enhanced the club's facilities and provided a more enjoyable experience for members.

The club offers a half-season registration for families, with fees kept as reasonable as possible to accommodate families who have been with the club for many years and wish to continue their membership. The fees for the second half of the 2023/2024 season are $95 for one swimmer, $150 for two swimmers, $180 for three swimmers, and $205 for four swimmers. Each registered child receives a club yearbook, a club swim cap, a t-shirt, and a sticker. The registration process is simple and can be completed online, with payment being accepted via Visa or Mastercard.

For families new to the Cannon Hill Swim Club, a free trial is available upon request. This allows families to experience the club firsthand before committing to registration.
