Canadian Shorinjiryu Kudaka Karate-Do Federation, located with clubs throughout Ontario, upholds the kudaka tradition of the late Dr. Kori Hisataka under the Spiritual Development of Individuality in Mind and Body. Led by a dedicated team of executive members, including Hanshi Doug Roberts (9th Dan), the Chairman of the Federation, and Hanshi Rick Black (8th Dan) and Hanshi Bob Cussler (8th Dan), the Federation aims to promote the art of Shorinjiryu Karate through exceptional teaching and training.
At the helm of the Federation are esteemed martial artists, including Kyoshi Jean-Eric Gibeau (7th Dan), Shihan James Taylor (6th Dan), and Shihan Kristine Miller (6th Dan), who bring years of experience and expertise to the dojo. With a focus on physical training, tactical fighting, and overall skills development, the Federation caters to both beginners and experienced karateka looking to enhance their abilities.
The Federation hosts various events and tournaments throughout the year, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete against other practitioners. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming Karate Tournament scheduled for April 4th, 2020, has been postponed until further notice to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
