Canadian Alliance of Dance Art

Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists/West Chapter is a thriving dance school located in Vancouver, Canada. With a Membership of over 200 dance artists and cultural workers, the school envisions a world where dance artists are socially and economically celebrated. They pursue resources, opportunities, and partnerships that empower dance artists, maintaining and developing core programs in consultation with members and stakeholders.

The school offers Subsidies, Resources, and Outreach programs to support dance artists from all forms and cultures. They host various events throughout the year, such as discussions, social gatherings, and fundraisers, to support and connect the dance community in Vancouver.

One of the unique benefits of being a member of the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists/West Chapter is the Wikidata in Dance project. This initiative aims to enhance the online discoverability of professional dance artists, making information about their work more findable and accessible. All membership includes this service, but members have the option to opt-out if they wish.
