Snowsports-Newfoundland and Labrador (CADS-NL) is a ski school located in Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador, offering adaptive snowsports instruction for individuals with disabilities. Our team of qualified instructors and volunteers are dedicated to providing adaptive skiing and snowboarding lessons tailored to meet the needs of each individual participant.
At CADS-NL, we offer instruction in a variety of adaptive techniques, including assisted skiing, three and four track skiing, BiSki, and MonoSki, designed to cater to a range of disabilities such as visual impairment, autism, cognitive impairment, learning difficulties, fatigue issues, spinal issues, and para or quadriplegia. Our goal is to help individuals improve their skiing abilities and experience the joy of snow sports in a safe and supportive environment.
We welcome individuals of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced, and provide one-on-one instruction as needed. For those who are new to skiing or snowboarding, we offer training in tethering techniques and adaptive equipment to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable learning experience. In addition, we also invite volunteers to join us, regardless of skiing experience, to assist in providing instruction and support to our participants.
CADS-NL is a volunteer-run organization, and we are committed to promoting inclusivity and accessibility in snow sports. Medical clearance may be required for participation, and individuals can apply for membership through the National website, with registration opening on October 1st. By joining CADS-NL, members have the opportunity to learn adaptive snowsports techniques, improve their skills, and connect with a supportive community of like-minded individuals.
