Founded in 1959, NBS has established itself as a world-renowned institution for dance education and training. Located in the vibrant city of Toronto, our school offers a range of programs designed to nurture dancers at every stage of their journey, from beginners to professionals.

Our Olympic-calibre Professional Ballet-Academic Program is at the heart of NBS, providing aspiring dancers with the training, mentorship, and opportunities needed to pursue a career in dance. Our Adult Ballet Summer Intensives offer a unique experience for adults looking to deepen their understanding of ballet and connect with a vibrant dance community.

At NBS, we believe in empowering future leaders in dance education through our Teacher Training Program. This program prepares educators to inspire dancers of all ages and abilities, ensuring that the legacy of dance education continues to thrive.

In addition to our programs, NBS is committed to fostering a more inclusive and diverse dance community. Our “Together We Move” initiative exemplifies this commitment, with special edition t-shirts designed in collaboration with a Black-owned Canadian brand, Rvolutionnaire. We believe that by working together, we can create a more inclusive and reflective dance world.
