Quitation Sansoucy is excited to announce their summer day camps for young riders aged 7 to 15! From 10 am to 4 pm, participants can enjoy a variety of horse care activities such as learning how to approach them safely, grooming, hoof care, tacking up, ground handling, and developing an awareness of their presence. In addition, classical riding lessons are provided to build confidence, foster a relationship with horses, work on tone and balance, learn riding techniques, and play horseback games. Participants can also learn about equipment maintenance, stable management, and deepen their theoretical knowledge through the 'P’tit Trot' and 'Cavaliers Cheval Québec' programs. Fun complementary activities include braiding horses' manes, ground activities, cooking for horses, decorations and painting on horses, group games, equestrian quizzes, and horse showers.
The cost for the 4-day camp is $360 plus taxes with a $100 deposit required upon registration and the balance to be paid on the first morning of the camp. The available dates for 2024 are from July 1st to 4th and July 8th to 11th. Participants should bring their own protective gear, suitable clothing, water, and meals for the day.
