Campbell School of Highland Dance

Campbell School of Highland Dance is a modern Scottish Highland dancing studio in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our core values of excellence, athleticism, and community set the foundation for our supportive and enthusiastic dance community. Our training focuses on developing strong, confident, and joyful performers while instilling a lifelong love of dance in our dancers.

Our youngest dancers are introduced to movement through play-based activities and technical instruction in a fun and low-pressure environment. As they progress, they develop strong technique through traditional exercises, cross-training, and strength training. Contemporary group choreography and performances become a regular part of their training, encouraging camaraderie and teamwork.

We encourage competition for returning dancers to help build confidence and comfort with performing. Our dancers form lasting friendships and bonds through our core values, creating a well-rounded and supported dance community. Classes are available for dancers aged 4-6 years on Mondays and dancers aged 7 years and older on Wednesdays.

Our studio is led by experienced instructors, Alexandra and Elayna, who have over 30 years of dancing and teaching experience. They bring enthusiasm, technical precision, and a love of community to their teaching. Alexandra and Elayna are both members of SDTA and ScotDance Canada, ensuring that our dancers receive high-quality instruction.

We are a proud partner of KidSport Society of Calgary, providing grants to cover registration costs, and the Triwood Dancers Society, offering grants to dancers in need.
