Cambridge Minor Softball is a vibrant and inclusive club based in Cambridge, offering a range of softball programs for youth players of all ages and skill levels. From Blast-ball for players as young as 2 years old to the Peewee/Bantam division for older players, there is something for everyone at Cambridge Minor Softball.
The Blast-ball program is designed for the youngest players, born between 2019 and 2021, where players hit the ball from a stationary "tee" and run to a single base that honks as they jump on it. It is a fun and interactive introduction to the game of softball.
T-Ball is for players aged 4-6 (born in 2017 and 2018) and focuses on teaching the basic skills of throwing, catching, and hitting while also introducing the standard rules of softball. The emphasis is on fun and learning in a supportive environment.
The Coach Pitch division is for players aged 7-8 (born in 2015 and 2016) where coaches pitch to the players, and more rules of softball are gradually introduced. The focus remains on developing batting, throwing, and catching skills while having fun.
In the Mite division, for players aged 9-10 (born in 2013 and 2014), players are introduced to pitching and will pitch to their opposing teams. Players also start to learn more advanced rules such as stealing bases, with a slightly more competitive feel while still focusing on fun and learning.
The Squirt division is for players aged 11-12 (born in 2011 and 2012) and encourages players to try out different positions on the field as they develop their softball skills. The focus is on developing a more detailed approach to the game, both offensively and defensively, accommodating players of all skill levels.
At Cambridge Minor Softball, the goal is to provide a positive and supportive environment where players can develop their skills, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun playing the game they love. Join us today and be a part of the Cambridge Minor Softball community.
