

Calshot Sub-Aqua Club is a reputable diving club located near Southampton in Hampshire, England. With over 35 years of experience in diving the South Coast, the club offers a welcoming and friendly environment for scuba divers of all levels.
The club regularly organises exciting diving expeditions around the Isle of Wight, Hampshire, and Dorset coastlines. Additionally, they also arrange dive trips within the UK and abroad. With their own dive boat, members have convenient access to local sea areas. However, they also conduct shore dives from various beaches along the coast and at inland sites.
For more adventurous diving experiences, the club occasionally charters larger hard boats.

Calshot Sub-Aqua Club, formerly known as branch 1397 of the British Sub-Aqua Club, was founded in 1984. Initially situated in Calshot, the club eventually relocated to Eling to avoid the commute via A326. Despite the move, the club is still commonly known as “Calshot Divers. ” While adhering to BSAC guidelines, the club embraces members from any training organisation.
Regardless of your certification, you are welcome to dive with the club within the limits of your qualification. However, please note that they can only provide BSAC courses for skills development.
The club boasts its own 5. 8m RIB (rigid inflatable boat) and all the necessary equipment, such as O2, flares, and radio, to ensure safe and enjoyable dives. Calshot Sub-Aqua Club typically consists of 20 to 30 members, although the number may vary depending on weather conditions. Members have diverse interests, including historical research, wreck diving, underwater wildlife observation, and photography.
With a considerable number of Dive Leaders and Instructors within the club, members can expect expert guidance and support.
The committee for the current period (2022-2023) comprises various dedicated individuals, including Christine Greenwood as the Chairperson, Ralph Quinn as the Diving Officer, John Greenwood as the Training Officer, Graham Jones as the Treasurer, Karen Dunford as the Welfare Officer, Mike Jenner as the Equipment Officer, and David Ruffle as the Secretary.
