About
Nestled in the heart of Edmonton, the Calder Skating Rink offers a picturesque setting for ice skating enthusiasts of all ages. This community-run rink is a labour of love, kept alive by the dedication of volunteers who ensure its smooth operation.
The rink is open daily from 9am to 11pm, except Wednesdays. It is also available for rent to organizations such as schools and groups, providing a unique venue for events and gatherings.
To skate at the Calder Skating Rink, a Calder Community League membership is required. Membership costs only $20 per year and covers all members of the household residing at one address. This membership entitles your household to unlimited skating for the season, as well as other perks. Guests of Community League Members may skate for a $5 donation each time.
Volunteers play a crucial role in maintaining the rink, from supervision to snow removal and ice maintenance. If you are willing to lend a hand, please consider signing up for the volunteer list by contacting Melissa at 780-217-0191.
For any inquiries or questions, feel free to reach out to the Calder Skating Rink team directly. Additionally, stay updated on the latest news and events by following the rink on Facebook and Instagram.
Calder Skating Rink, operated by the Calder Community League, is not just a place to skate but a hub for community connections. Whether you're looking to enjoy a leisurely skate or contribute to a worthy cause, the rink welcomes all who share a passion for ice skating and community spirit.
