Caerau Dragon Bowmen

Sam, the organiser at Caerau Dragon Bowmen, has established a thriving archery club in Barry, South Wales since 2008. Sam’s clear goal is to expand the club’s membership and help members excel in the sport. Archery at Caerau Dragon Bowmen is accessible for everyone, whether you’re looking to casually shoot arrows or push your competitive limits.

The club invites all, from ages 10 to 100, with under-16s required to have adult supervision. Sam envisions Caerau Dragon Bowmen as a launchpad for archers aiming for county, regional, national, or even Olympic levels, offering the needed support and encouragement.

Outdoor shooting sessions run from March to October, Tuesdays and Fridays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, at St Richard Gwyn RC High School on Argae Lane. The club looks to expand its reach via social media and online platforms.

Sam encourages newcomers to visit and experience the welcoming atmosphere, backed by experienced archers eager to pass on their knowledge. For beginners, the club offers courses that include all necessary equipment, ensuring a strong start in the sport.
