Tony graduated from the Australian Institute of Fitness in 2007 as a Master Trainer and has also competed in several natural bodybuilding competitions. His qualifications include Level 3 in personal training, Advanced Sports and Exercise Nutritional Advisor, and he is also a qualified first-aider.
Joe Burns, the other co-owner of Burns Gym, brings his 18 years of gym experience and passion for fitness to the team. With a background in the Oil & Gas Industry, Joe combines his business insight with his fitness expertise to contribute to the success of Burns Gym. His qualifications include Level 3 in personal training, and he is also a qualified first-aider. Joe specialises in writing tailored nutrition plans for clients, ensuring they receive holistic support for their fitness journey.
Burns Gym offers a range of personal training services, including 1-2-1 sessions and group sessions. They also deliver functional fitness exercise classes to numerous care homes in the UK. These online exercise classes are designed to encourage residents to move more and become self-sufficient. The workouts are developed based on over 35 years of coaching experience and align with the CAPA (Care About Physical Activity) initiative introduced by the Care Inspectorate.
