The Bundaberg Golf Club is proud to host the highly anticipated Burnett Cup, the Wide Bay's top Matchplay Golf Event. With over 100 teams of 2 competing in a knock-out competition, this event offers a prize pool of $7200. The Burnett Cup kicks off in mid-January, and participants who are knocked out in the first round have the opportunity to compete for the Peter Hitchcock Plate (men) or Penny Tieniker Memorial Plate (ladies).
One of the highlights of the Burnett Cup is the Calcutta night, held before the tournament's commencement. This fun-filled night is filled with laughter, drinks, and 'high-finance' activities. Teams are raffled off, providing an opportunity to turn a profit by drawing a sought-after team.
