Bulwell BMX Track, located in Nottingham, is a prominent and long-standing establishment within the UK BMX community. As one of the oldest and largest BMX clubs in the country, it has been operating since 1982.
The track itself is open to both club members and the public, providing an inviting and accessible environment for riders of all ages and skill levels. On Saturday mornings, coaching sessions are held, led by qualified coaches from British Cycling. These sessions allow riders to enhance their skills and technique in a structured and supportive setting. For a nominal fee of 5 per rider, participants can benefit from the expertise of the coaches.
It is worth noting that the coaching sessions do not take place on National Race weekends, ensuring that riders have ample opportunities to participate in both coaching and competitive events.
In addition to coaching and training sessions, the club also facilitates gate sessions on Thursday evenings, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. These informal practises allow riders to focus on gate starts, honing their acceleration and race-ready skills. Club members can attend these sessions for 2, while non-members can join for 3.
