Bugeido Karate Australia Tasmania, located in Mornington, is a martial arts school specialising in traditional karate. Led by Sensei Mark, the school is currently accepting new enrolments for 2023. With a commitment to providing authentic training, Bugeido Karate offers classes for all ages to master the art of karate.
The school places a strong emphasis on maintaining manageable class sizes, ensuring quality tuition and the safety of students. Classes are organised into 10-week terms, with four terms offered throughout the year. This structured approach allows students to progress steadily and develop their karate skills effectively.
For children aged 4 to 6, the Kodomos class is specifically designed to introduce them to the world of karate. Children in this age group wear black track pants and white polo shirts, symbolising their participation in Bugeido Karate. In the Kodomos class, children learn essential lessons in self-control, confidence, and coordination. The experienced instructors provide clear and structured lessons that instil discipline and respect from a young age.
As children progress to the ages of 7 to 11, they can join the Pewees class. Building on the foundation established in the Kodomos class, the Pewees class focuses on practical and traditional Bugeido Shotokan Karate techniques. Students develop self-defence and disarming skills while cultivating respect, self-discipline, and patience. The supportive environment allows Pewees to foster new friendships and work together, enhancing their sense of purpose and independence.
Juniors, aged 12 to 14, continue their karate journey in the Juniors class. Many juniors have previously trained in the Kodomos and Pewees classes, but newcomers are always welcome. This class provides a platform for training in more advanced techniques alongside adult students. Juniors have the opportunity to set and achieve personal goals, fostering confidence, self-control, and concentration.
Bugeido Karate helps to channel excess energy in a safe and structured environment while reinforcing the importance of behaving in accordance with traditional karate principles.
Adults aged 15 and over can join the Adult class, which welcomes individuals of all ages, from 15 to 50 and beyond. Whether returning to karate or starting fresh, adults at Bugeido Karate have the chance to develop both their fitness and technique. Karate training supports personal growth and allows students to reach their goals, often culminating in achieving the prestigious black belt rank. Alongside individual development, adults support one another, creating a supportive community within the school.
