Buchan Indoor Bowling Club

Buchan Indoor Bowling Club, situated in the heart of Aberdeenshire in Peterhead, was founded in 1986 by a passionate group of bowlers. With its prime location just 30 miles north of Aberdeen, the club has always drawn members from the surrounding communities. The club features a 4-rink bowling area, a games room with two full-sized snooker tables and a pool table, offering a range of activities.

Currently, Buchan Indoor Bowling Club has around 350 members and hosts various social events and competitions for all ages. Whether it's friendly gatherings or competitive tournaments, there's something for everyone. The club prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming, ensuring all members feel valued and connected.

In 2020, the club upgraded with a new custom-built website that now incorporates the Bowlr league management software. This software simplifies booking systems, membership administration, fee payments, and league results, making it easier for members to access club information and attract new members.

The facilities at Buchan Indoor Bowling Club cater to the diverse interests of its members. The 4-rink bowling area is ideal for practising and competitive matches. The games room provides a relaxing space for snooker or pool. After games, members can unwind in the lounge bar and function area.

The function area, capable of hosting up to 120 people, is used for a variety of purposes. From meetings to social events, there’s always something happening. Monthly Friday night Bingo, Saturday night music events, and the highly anticipated Hogmanay party are just a few highlights.

The club has partnered with Cumming Joinery Services Ltd, led by Alan Cumming, who is generously sponsoring the club's new team jackets. The company specialises in joinery services, including new builds, extensions, and general joinery.
