Broughton Angling Club, established in 1961, is a friendly and safe fishing club located in the heart of Manchester, New Zealand. With a rich history spanning over six decades, the club offers anglers of all levels a unique fishing experience in beautiful surroundings.

The first fishing spot, Ashenhurst, is situated on Blackley new road. It offers disabled-friendly facilities, including an onsite toilet and sink, ensuring that every member can enjoy their fishing experience comfortably.

Whittlebrook, another popular location, can be found on How Clough drive in Walkden. It features large platform pegs and a relatively flat terrain once you head down the small hill to the gate. This spot is perfect for those who prefer spacious fishing areas and ease of access.

Bowker, located on Bowker Bank avenue, is accessible via a side road (dirt track). It provides its own car park and offers members the choice of either steps or a ramp to access the lake.

Simister, situated off Heywood Road/Simister Lane M25 2BW, can be easily reached via the farmer's gate next to the school, with a small black sign indicating BAC (Broughton Angling Club). It features its own car park and a scenic pathway through the field that leads to the lake.

Membership at Broughton Angling Club is open to all, and joining is a simple and straightforward process that can be completed online. The club values trust and expects new members to read and adhere to the club's rules, ensuring a harmonious fishing experience for everyone.
