Broadstone Wessex Bowling Club, located on the corner of Dunyeats Road and Laurel Drive, is a well-established club that has been a part of the Broadstone community since 1930. With our 93rd season fast approaching, we are excited to welcome new members to our friendly club and introduce them to the sport of bowls.
Our club boasts a stunning setting, complete with a traditional clubhouse and one of the finest greens in the local area. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced bowler, our members, who come from all walks of life and span across different age groups, will make you feel right at home.
We offer outdoor bowling from April to September, making the most of the warmer months, and then transition to Short Mat Bowls during winter, providing year-round opportunities for our members to participate in the sport they love. Our Short Mat Bowls sessions in the pavilion feature social sessions throughout the week, as well as league games in the afternoon and evenings.
For those interested in joining our club, we organise an Open Day every May to give new bowlers a chance to experience the game and meet our members. If you are unable to attend the Open Day, don't worry – simply reach out to us, and we will gladly arrange a time for you to visit and try your hand at bowling at a more convenient time during the season.
We are proud to be sponsored by Lester-Brunt wealth management and Lesley Shand Funeral Services, who support our club and contribute to its success.
