Bristol School of Performing Arts (BSPA) is dedicated to unlocking talent and ambition, providing students with the skills needed to realise their dreams. With a team of highly motivated industry professionals, BSPA delivers training that instils confidence in its students. The school focuses on developing not only their hearts and minds, but also their bodies and passion for performing.
The BSPA team comprises various individuals who bring their expertise and experience to the school. Amanda Board Salmon, the Principal, trained at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy in London. She made her professional debut in the lead role of Pearl in Starlight Express at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Sam Board, the Associate Director, graduated with a BA Honours in Performing Arts majoring in Drama from Middlesex University.
He made his professional debut playing Conrade in “Much Ado About Nothing. ” Sophie Norgate, the Head of Dance and Creative Director, has over 30 years of experience in the performance industry, with a breadth of varied arts practises. Andi Ford, the Business Director, brings 25 years of management experience to BSPA.
The BSPA faculty consists of talented individuals who impart their knowledge and skills to the students. Izzi Cosh is currently studying at Bristol Institute of Performing Arts and has been involved in local amateur theatre companies around Bristol since the age of 9. Her favourite roles include “Belle” in Beauty and the Beast and “Ursula” in The Little Mermaid. Chloe Allsopp-Jones started playing the piano at the age of 3 and has since ventured into the world of musical theatre as a child actor, accompanist, and Musical Director.
Amanda Board Salmon, in addition to being the Principal, has a passion for teaching and has taught at various performing arts institutions.
BSPA offers a wide range of classes for aspiring performers of all ages. From baby ballet to musical theatre classes, BSPA aims to cater to the diverse interests and abilities of its students. The school also organises term dates for enrolment and provides information on ticketing for their productions.
