They are qualified under the Australian Kyokushin Karate Association and hold accredited First Aid Certificates as well as Working with Children Certificates. Two of the instructors at Brighton Kyokushin Karate are Ruben Rubio and Pamelia Tungkasiri. Ruben is a passionate karateka who enjoys sparring and has competed and won several tournaments both within the state and interstate.
Pamelia began her karate journey in 2013 and has also competed in various events, representing Australia at international competitions. Both instructors are dedicated to their own training and constantly strive to improve themselves physically and mentally.
