Brighton Judo Club

Brighton Judo Club is a friendly and welcoming club located in Brighton, New Zealand. The club is run by a dedicated and experienced team of judoka and volunteers who are passionate about the sport. As a non-profit organisation, all the money raised by the club is reinvested into improving facilities and providing better opportunities for its members.

The club offers classes for all ages, starting from a minimum age of 5 years old. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner, there is a class suitable for your abilities. All the classes are taught by experienced Dan grades, who are UKCC qualified coaches, possess current first aid certificates, and have undergone DBS checks to ensure the safety of all members.

At Brighton Judo Club, the safety, and well-being of children are taken very seriously. The club has formally adopted the BJA Child Protection Policy and is committed to implementing all aspects of this policy to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for young judoka.

The club is based at the 15th Brighton Scout hall, conveniently located on Manor Rd in Brighton. The entrance to the hall is off the path between Bristol Gate and Manor Road. Training sessions are held on specific days and times, which can be found on the club's Sessions & Fees page. There are separate classes for juniors (ages 5-16) and seniors (beginner/intermediate and intermediate/advanced).
