Brighton Lindy Hoppers, the Contemporary Dance club in Hove, is excited to invite all interested players to a local Contemporary Dance event! Our club offers a variety of fun and friendly swing dance classes for beginners, improvers, and intermediate dancers.
Our classes are taught in the style of the original dancers from the iconic 1930s Savoy Ballroom. We believe in promoting inclusivity, freedom of expression, and a love for swing music. But it's not just about the steps! We value the social aspect of dancing, so you can expect a great atmosphere and lots of laughter in our classes.
Here's the schedule for our weekly classes:
- On Mondays, we have Complete Beginners from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, followed by Improvers from 8.40pm to 9.40pm.
- Tuesdays are perfect for beginners looking to improve their skills, with a class from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. We also offer extra tips for improvers and social dancing.
- Wednesdays offer a special treat with our Solo Jazz class. Please note that advance booking is essential for this one. We also have a Beginners Lindy Hop Class from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, followed by Intermediates from 8.40pm to 9.40pm.
- Thursdays are ideal for beginners who want to start with a 6-week swing dance course. We have courses starting on Thursday, April 23rd, 2020, and Thursday, March 19th, 2020, in Worthing. The class on Thursdays runs from 8.15pm to 9.15pm.
Prices for our classes are as follows:
- £8 per class or £10 for both classes on Mondays.
- For Tuesday classes, there is a special offer of £4 entry after 8.30pm.

- Tuesday classes are held at The Railway Social Club, 4 Belmont, Brighton, BN1 3TF.
- On Wednesdays, we dance at Funky Fish, 19-23 Marine Parade, Brighton, BN2 1TL.
- Thursday classes can be found at Open Space Studios, Unit 7 Rear of 64 Davigdor Road, Hove, BN3 1RF.
