Brighton District Football Club is thrilled to announce an exciting local Soccer event at Brighton Bulldogs Fields! This event is specifically designed for girls and boys aged under 6 to 12 who are looking to have a blast while learning the fundamentals of football.
Known as MiniRoos Football, this version of the game focuses on creating a fun and inclusive environment where kids can develop new skills and forge lifelong friendships. The emphasis is on enjoyment rather than competition, with no league tables or official scores kept during the games.
Our MiniRoos teams train once a week, usually midweek, and the thrilling matches take place on Saturday mornings. The season spans from April to September, giving our young football enthusiasts plenty of time to immerse themselves in the game.
The age groups range from Under 6 & 7 to Under 10-12, and each age category features varying field sizes and numbers of players per team. It's important to note that kids must wear shin pads and football boots for all training sessions and games. To make things official, our soccer club uniform is required for any official matches as well.
Rest assured, our dedicated coaching team consists of enthusiastic volunteers and parents who are eager to support and guide our young players. We even provide coaching courses and additional support for those interested in expanding their football knowledge. We firmly believe in creating an inclusive community where everyone can thrive.
Beyond the regular season, we have a range of exciting activities to keep young players engaged. Our preseason activities in February and March lay the groundwork for a fantastic season ahead, while our grading sessions for U9-U12 age groups ensure fair and competitive matches. Additionally, our MiniRoos Academy participates in the FQ Academy League 3, where talented individuals can take their skills to the next level.
