Bridgewater Skatepark

Staff, Engineering staff, and a Town Police representative. This dedicated group has been instrumental in securing funding and support for the Bridgewater Skate Park project. They continue to work tirelessly to raise additional funds and promote the park within the community.

The Bridgewater Skate Park offers a safe and exciting space for skaters, scooter riders, and bikers of all ages and skill levels. The park features a 10,000 square foot plaza with state-of-the-art obstacles and challenges designed to cater to all types of riders. Phase I of the construction, which includes a concrete bowl, obstacles, surrounding landscape, and parking lot preparation, is now complete. Phase II, which will see the construction of a pavilion area, is currently in the works.

The Skate Park not only benefits local youth by providing a positive recreational outlet, but also contributes to the overall community by promoting healthy, active living and attracting visitors to the area. While the Skate Park does not fall under the regulations of the Province of Nova Scotia's Motor Vehicle Act, the Town of Bridgewater strongly encourages all users to wear helmets and protective equipment while using the facilities.
