Bretherton Swim Academy is the place to be for your little ones if you're in Leyland. Run by Shona, who’s been in love with swimming since her childhood, the academy specialises in teaching pre-school children aged 3-4 during weekday mornings throughout the term.
Shona’s journey in the swimming world started young and led her to competitive swimming and earning her stripes in the sport. Now, she’s channelling all that experience into teaching and running her very own swim school.
The main goal at Bretherton Swim Academy is to make sure kids not only learn to swim but have a blast doing it. The focus is on creating a friendly, positive vibe where kids can enjoy the water, play games, and learn through fun teaching methods. Watching the young swimmers gain confidence and skills is a real joy for the instructors.
A nice touch here is the badge system to celebrate the children's progress. Parents don’t need to hop into the pool either, as the instructors handle all the support and guidance. With all the necessary equipment provided, you only need to bring your child along.
To make sure each child gets the attention they deserve, class sizes are kept small, maxing out at 5 kids per class.
